This new feature, which had been rumored in the months leading up to the introduction of the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max was not announced at the iOS 13 launch event, during WWDC 2019, but it meant the end of 3D Touch technology, a technology that came from the hand of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.
Within the haptic sensor configuration options, iOS allows us set the touch duration. Through this option, we can adjust the time it takes the system to display content previews, actions and contextual menus. If you want to know how to adjust the response time, you just have to follow these steps:
- First, we head up to the Settings iOS 13. It should be remembered that this function is only available from iOS 13, so if you have an older version, this option will not be available.
- Next, we access the menu Accessibility and within Accessibility to the submenu Play.
- In the menu option, it allows us to activate and deactivate the 3D Touch and haptic response, in addition to adjusting the sensitivity of the 3D Touch, the level of pressure necessary to activate. By default it is set to Medium.
- Next, we find the adjustment option we are looking for: Touch duration. By default, it is set to Short, so the time it takes to display content previews, actions, and context menus is reduced. If we want the response time to be extended, we must select Long.
