iCloud on many occasions can cause us many problems, And I say this from experience. On many occasions I have found duplicate, tripled or even contacts that appeared up to 5 times each contact, I searched the Internet and no tool I could find deleted all the contacts at once, so I had to delete them by hand, a fiasco and a waste of time. Searching and searching I managed to find an app called Smart Merge that remove duplicate (or repeated multiple times) contacts automatically, after the jump I show you how to remove them with a couple of taps on your iPad screen.
Eliminating repeated contacts from our iPad with Smart Merge
- We go to the App Store and look for: smartmerge, The application will appear immediately, with a blue icon (similar to the icon of the official Contacts app). We download it and wait for it to be installed on our iPad.
- We open the application and we will have to log in to Smart Merge to be able to delete our contacts, we follow the instructions and we will enter the main screen of the application.
- The application will automatically search for duplicate contacts and show us the number of them, as information, He won't do anything until we send it to him.
- If we click on «Show them» it will show us the contacts that are repeated in our agenda. Click on «Duplicate Contacts»And there they will be, to consult them.
- If we want to delete all the contacts that are repeated, we will click on «Merge» and automatically the contacts that were empty will be merged with the original, but the final result will be as if they were deleted.
As you can see, it is a fairly simple application that offers us a very interesting feature if on any occasion iCloud or another service puts duplicate contacts in our agenda.
