On any Apple device (and other non-Apple devices), when an application is causing problems, we can force the app to close to restore stability to the system. It is something we can do on OS X and iOS. But How to force close a tvOS application? So far I have read two theories, but Apple only picks one as valid
What is force close on iOS? Force close on iOS en close the application from multitasking. To do this, we will simply have to press the start button twice, scroll to the application we want to close and slide its letter up. The Apple TV, whose operating system is a variant of iOS, has its own home button, which is the one with a screen drawn on it.
How to force close apps on Apple TV 4
We double-click on the button that obviously should be the start button, since it always takes us to the start screen and has a drawing of a screen. Double-clicking on the start button will do the same as in iOS, we will see the application cards and we can swipe up apps that we want to close completely.
Theory 2
The second theory, the wrong one, says that we will force the closure if we press the Menu button (the one indicated by the arrow in the image that heads the article) and we do not release it until it returns to the home screen.
On iOS, Apple says we should rarely "force quit" an app. Taking into account that tvOS is a version of iOS for the Apple TV, we must think that it will not be necessary to use these methods unless we experience a problem. If you have the Apple TV 4 and have had a problem that needed to force the closure of an application, how have you solved it?
Before posting an article, they should at least read through the manual first. This explains how to do it [spoiler: if known, it's "theory 1"]
Having read two different things, honestly, I had been confused with something else (and that is the one that is not known).
A greeting.
