The arrival of iOS 8 meant a new way to manage and share the applications we buy with our family. iOS 8 allows us to buy applications to later share them with our family, as long as the applications have that option available, since not all applications are compatible with this new way of managing applications.
This new option called En Familia, allows sharing applications with all members of our family that we have added on our main device, where we must add your Apple ID along with the decision-making power it has. If we mark our wife or husband, as Father or Guardian, they can approve the purchase requests of the included children, whether they are from iTunes, iBooks or the App Store.
On the other hand, if we only have it marked as Adult, You will not be able to approve any type of purchases or downloads. In this case, the Organizer of the family members would be the only person who can approve the purchase or download of applications, music or books. For the organizer to be able to share purchases with the rest of the members, the Share my purchases tab must be enabled, within the user's options.
Being the organizers of the group, we can block certain applications so that other family members cannot download themEither because they are not recommended for minors, especially with certain games, or because we do not want them to access the content they show.
If we want to hide applications that we have bought from the rest of the family, we just have to directed to the App Store within the device and click on the purchased section, so that all the applications that we have bought since we created the Apple account are displayed.
Next, we must go to the application that we want to hide and slide our finger over it to the left, until the Hide option appears. Once hidden We can only show it again through the iTunes application of our computer, so if we are one of the users who spend a lot of iTunes, we have to think very hard about which applications we want to hide temporarily or permanently.
