The 9,7-inch iPad Pro is the same beast as its big brother. It has the same A9X processor like that of the larger iPad Pro, 12-core graphics, along with the M9 motion co-processor.
2 GB of RAM
One thing that is going to disappoint enthusiasts is that only has 2 GB of RAM, instead of 4 GB that comes with the large iPad Pro. But it may have a logical explanation, the smaller iPad has fewer pixels to process. And the iPad Air 2, with the same amount of RAM can easily launch the multi-tasking split screen.
So even for normal productivity use, with two apps side by side, the 9,7-inch iPad Pro should have no problems.
Although, if you are planning on doing a lot of 4K video editing, or using apps with live rendering features, you can of course expect a drop in consumption rates and increased processing time.
