According to Ming-Chi Kuo, currently all the components that are part of Face ID have a stable supply, so in theory, we should not see problems with the supply of the iPhone X in the future, although currently if we want to buy an iPhone the waiting time is set at 5-6 weeks.
Touch ID came to Apple devices from the hand of the iPhone 5s, but it was not until the launch of the iPhone 6s, when Apple introduced the second generation of Touch ID, a fingerprint reader that it took less than half the time to recognize the footprint and unlock the device.
Now that production has stabilized, analyst Min-Chi Kuo claims that the next generation of the iPhone that integrates Touch ID, it will use exactly the same sensors that we find in the iPhone XTherefore, if we do not like it or it is erratic, we will have to wait at least until 2019 for Apple to renew the components that are part of this technology.
Kuo assures that Apple will not switch to a new hybrid lens system made of glass and plastic for next year, as had been speculated a few weeks ago, since this could generate new problems in the production line as it seems to have happened with the iPhone X.
Last week, the Bloomberg publication assured that due to the production problems that the Cupertino-based company was having with the Face ID components, it had decided lower their quality, which would affect its operation. Quickly, Apple denied the news, something we are not used to, since the failure of Face ID when Craig Federighi presented its operation, is still on the retina of many millions of users, despite the different explanations that have been published about of what had actually happened.
