iMods, the alternative to Cydia is shown in a new video

It's been about eight months since we found out that a new app store for jailbroken devices was in development. iMods is an alternative to Cydia which seemed interesting since we saw its first video and now, the developers behind the application have released another video in which we can see how we will move within the application. iMods aims to be an alternative that rivals Cydia so, they say, that this rivalry causes them to be in constant evolution and continue to improve both options. With this in mind, it seems that Saurik has a lot of work to do in terms of improving Cydia's design.

In the video we can see a demonstration of almost seven minutes in which, in addition to the interface, we can also see the installation process of two different tweaks from beginning to end. In addition, developers have no problem taking a walk through all the corners of their application store, proving that it is the closest thing to an App Store that we have seen in alternative stores since the first jailbreak.

jailbreak me

Perhaps the most important fact regarding this alternative to Cydia is that iMod has the Comex collaboration, the famous responsible hacker  JailbreakMe, which was the simplest method to jailbreak known to date. Saurik supported JailbreakMe from the beginning, so we can rest assured that iMods is a safe alternative and that they are not going with ulterior motives.

There have been other attempts to develop an app store to unseat Cydia, but none have succeeded. Maybe iMods is what Cydia needed for Saurik to polish his application a bit. Although I know that many of you will be thinking that there is no problem with Saurik's store, the competition is always good and that iMods appear on the scene can only be a positive thing.
