Much of the success it has had is mainly due to the fact that has been in the business of copying Snapchat in almost everything and blatantly. Instagram Stories are a clear example. As we can read on the Instagram blog, the company has begun testing a new interface that will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.
2018 has been a very bad year for Facebook. As it seemed that people had forgotten their latest scandal, another of equal or greater importance came up and that they always affected the privacy of users. These events have had their consequences in terms of the number of new users who have reached the platform, a number that has been reduced considerably, quite the opposite of Instagram, the favorite social network of users who previously used Facebook.
To try to keep users in the app longer and that they spend more time watching ads, the company has just announced changes to the user interface, as we can see in the image above. On the Instagram blog we can read:
Over the next several weeks, you may see that the features have been rearranged at the top of your profile, including changes to icons, buttons, and the way you navigate between tabs, changes with which we expect profiles to be easier and cleaner to use. The photos and videos that you have shared on your grid will not change.
It seems like the changes are minimal and they will hardly affect the usability that the application offers today.
