The WWDC has started and with it the bombardment of news and updates by Apple. Yesterday was a day of many releases. From the Mac Pro to the new iPadOS to the new operating systems iOS 13, watchOS 6 and tvOS 13. We have a lot of material to analyze in the coming days.
But all the news could not be told in the presentation. One of them is the new iOS 13 volume indicator, something users have been asking for for a long time and it has finally arrived. Now the indicator to increase or decrease the volume is incorporated in the right side of the screen and does not appear in the center with a dialog box.

Users have been asking for this change for a long time. When you were watching a movie or video it was a pain to have to see the volume dialog when we wanted to raise or lower it. Since iOS 11, many concepts integrated a redesign of this HUD However, it was not until the arrival of iOS 13 that Apple realized that it was not aesthetically or functionally correct.

The change is that now the volume control is visible through a bar with two colors (the total volume and the adjusted volume). However, we do not completely get rid of the previous design, but at the beginning the control of the "fat" bar will appear and then it will disappear to give way to the thin bar we have talked about, as you can see in the video. In portrait mode it will appear on the sides of the screen, while when the device is in landscape mode, the icon will appear at the top of the screen.
In this way Apple has eliminated one of the most frustrating annoyances of recent times, reducing it to something aesthetically correct and less intrusive. We will see that when we analyze the ins and outs of the different new operating systems, we will find other functions that could not be discussed at the WWDC presentation.
