iOS 13 was unveiled in early June at WWDC, along with new versions of watchOS, tvOS, macOS and the new iPadOS and There are still many new features that we have to discover in the new Apple operating systems for this 2019.
One of the latest novelties to appear has been the new way to pair the HomePods when starting them for the first time and that is very similar to the Apple Watch system.
Until now, when turning on a HomePod for the first time and bringing our iPhone closer, a lower tab appeared - in the style of AirPods and other headphones with Apple's own chip- and, by means of some sounds, the connection process with a series of configurations that iOS asked us was followed and followed.
Now It seems that we will have to scan the upper part of the HomePod with the screen that will appear on the iPhone. Thus, we will scan the pattern of LED lights that the HomePod will show, allowing us to link it with our iPhone and our entire iCloud account.
It looks like there's a new HomePod pairing mode in iOS 13 that, instead of using the traditional audio passcode, uses a LED pattern on top of HomePod that's read by the other device's camera. pic.twitter.com/QSUKi1wPOX

This new method seems to be more precise and faster, although we have to focus the upper part of the HomePod with our iPhone. In a way, it is reminiscent of the Apple Watch settings, which we must focus with our iPhone when we configure it, since the Apple Watch screen shows that pattern like a galaxy to allow the link.
Of course, This is not the only novelty that comes to the HomePod with iOS 13. Remember that at WWDC they have announced that the HomePod and Siri will recognize different voices and they will know who they interact with and use our iCloud accounts to provide personalized information in their responses.
As well as there are news in the way of interacting with the HomePod, which will allow us, for example, to hit it with the iPhone to start playing the music that we were listening to on the iPhone.
