Yesterday afternoon, Spanish time, Apple launched the first beta of iOS 14.5, a version that finally introduces compatibility with the controllers of the new consoles that both Sony and Microsoft launched last November.
The first indications of the compatibility of iOS 14 with the controllers of the new consoles were found in iOS 14.3, but it will not be until the release of the final version of iOS 14.5 when all users who are enjoying their new consoles, can also use the controls with your iPhone or iPad.
Obviously, all the games that today are compatible with the Xbox and PS4 controller, will continue to be compatible, in addition to the official controller SteelSeries Nimbus and the one recently released by Razer to the market. At the moment, it seems that Apple's plans do not go through adding support to the controls of the Nintendo Switch, since if so far it has not done so, there is no reason to do so now.
The release of the final version of iOS 14.5 is initially planned for mid march.
