The coronavirus is wreaking havoc around the world, being the cause of the cancellation of each and every one of the public, and also private, acts of most companies, and we are not clear if the 2020 World Developers Conference will finally take place, better known as WWDC, in early June.
Within the framework of this conference, Apple will present some of the news that will come from the hand of the next versions of iOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS. One of the functions that could come from the hand of the Messages application is the possibility of delete messages already sent, just like we can do both on Telegram and WhatsApp.
Unlike Telegram, but like WhatsApp, if we proceed to delete a message already sent, the text "message deleted" will be displayed. In addition, we will have the possibility of labeling the contacts of the groups in order to filter notifications groups of people, so that we are only notified of the people we are interested in.
The Messages app, in iOS 14, could also add the ability to add a state, as in WhatsApp and the possibility of not allowing the sender to know if we have read the message we have sent. If Apple finally adds all those functions, it is also likely that it can launch a Messages application for Android.
The problem is that will have the same success as Telegram, I would even say less, since not only will users not switch from WhatsApp to Messages, but also, Apple's service does not offer us the infinity of functions that we can find today in Telegram.
To clear up doubts, we will have to wait for the WWDC to take place, Or if this is not done, wait for Apple to make an online presentation, as Google will do, since the first beta of iOS 14 is launched.
