Mark Gurman continues to give us small installments of the news that iOS 15 will bring us, and today's includes a new notification bar, iPad multitasking improvements and stricter privacy controls.
The notification bar of iOS 15 is going to undergo major changes after a long time remaining almost unchanged. New redesigned notifications focusing more on auto-reply options. In addition there will be different configurable states (working, driving ...) that will suppose different behaviors of the notifications. There will also be news in privacy options, with a new control panel in which we can see more clearly how our data is used by applications. Recall that application tracking has already begun to be controlled with the update to iOS 14.5, and this change in iOS 15 will be a further step in this regard.
There will also be important news on the home screen of the iPad, with the possibility of placing the widgets where we want, as we can do on the iPhone since the launch of iOS 14. There will also be other changes to the home screen, and especially in multitasking. With the new iPad Pro and M1 processor, the demands on this new tablet have multiplied, and it seems that Apple will improve the handling of multiple windows at the same time, so that this multitasking is more attractive for more advanced users.
There will also be changes in tvOS and watchOS, in which we can see new interfaces. All these changes are added to those that we have already mentioned previously about Messages, Health, etc. We will be able to see all these news at WWDC 2021 that will begin on Monday, June 7 from 19:00 (GMT +2) and you can follow it live with us on the blog and on the YouTube channel.
