Apple released iOS 7.1 yesterday, the first major operating system update mobile as it was redesigned last year. Included in the update are several key features such as C but also a variety of minor tweaks and improvements that make the system better.
Among these characteristics hasand two that despite being important, they have not achieved media coverage: Big improvements in the performance of the iPhone 4 and something called HFP in the Maps application, let's see.
IPhone 4 performance improvements
As anyone who has used iOS 7 on an iPhone 4 can attest, old hardware is almost unable to keep up with the latest software. Even with the uninhabited visuals and other concessions that try to keep things running smoothly, the whole system suffered from various problems.
Upgrading to version 7.1 has solved most of these problems. Animations no longer take time to respond and, in general, they are much faster than with the previous version.
HFP in Maps
The second feature listed above is the addition of HFP in the Maps application. HFP is a hands-free profile that enables Bluetooth headsets and hands-free car kits to communicate with iPhone.
In previous versions of iOS, if you connected your iPhone to the car via Bluetooth and started with map navigation, you were only able to hear the directions if you didn't have the radio on. With iOS 7.1, it is implemented a new audio setting in the Maps application that allows you to activate the HFP protocol, whose function is to tell the car when to stop playback music or listening to the radio so you can hear the directions from the Maps app. It essentially makes it work like a phone call.

Hello, I had it in IOS 7.0.4 and the truth is that the slowness was unbearable; since I had nothing to lose, I upgraded to 7.1.2 by putting the iphone in DFU mode and… What a Surprise !! It goes much more fluid, I no longer feel that I have a brick in my hand, it does not reach the fluency of ios 6 but it is not annoying to use the mobile as before.
I recommend updating or restoring the terminal in DFU mode, especially if you have Jailbreak.
