iOS 8.3 allows us to download free games without entering our password

iOS 8.3 Beta 1 is the first beta that Apple has allowed users who are not developers, who can install it and test it. Little by little, users are reporting the news that they find during normal use of this new version of iOS. iOS 8.1 Beta 1 allows us to configure our device so that we can download free applications from the iTunes Store and the App Store without having to enter our password each time we do so, as long as our device does not have Touch ID. Admittedly, it is much more comfortable to place your finger on the sensor to make purchases than to have to type your Apple ID password every time we download an application.

This new option, which we can activate or deactivate according to our needs, is found within the App Store and iTunes Store section, which we find within Settings. When accessing this section, we go to Password settings and two options will appear:

  • Always ask for password that we make a purchase in the App Store or let 15 minutes pass, during which we can make purchases without having to enter our password again.
  • Free downloads. In this section, we can enable the switch if we want it to always ask us for the password when we download free applications, or if in this type of applications we do not want to have to enter it. For this we must deactivate the switch.

From iPad News We always advise you to enable the first option Always request the password and not after 15 minutes, since during that time we are exposed to our son or friend being able to make purchases within games or applications or download paid applications. To this day, I still do not understand why Apple continues to allow the second option, after all the problems it has had in the past with in-app purchases that does not ask for the password immediately, as the device is configured with the second option.
