iOS 8.3 has stopped signing. Good time to update to iOS 8.4

ios-8.3

Apple has stopped signing the iOS 8.3 version this afternoon, so It is no longer possible to install any other version other than iOS 8.4 or any of the iOS 9 betas, Of which the third beta for developers and the first public beta was expected today. Perhaps the delay in the new beta of iOS 9 is precisely because they want to wait a little longer to launch the beta version for all users without a developer account or registered UDID to be able to install betas.

If you are using iOS 8.3 and you do not want to update by not losing the jailbreak, it is worth installing the new version, since iOS 8.4 is as stable or more than iOS 8.3, it is vulnerable to TaiG jailbreak and you will also have the possibility to use Apple Music if you wish. Do not forget that when Apple releases iOS 8.4.1, if necessary, you will no longer be able to update to the new version without losing the precious jailbreak.

It seems that Apple has changed its way of managing the released versions, leaving a reasonable time before you stop signing the previous version. This comes in handy especially if when updating to a new version of iOS we detect a bug that we cannot work with. One week is enough time to detect battery, GPS, Wi-Fi problems or any kind of unexpected shutdown.

With this, Apple intends not to have a new edition of the famous problem that left thousands of users without a network, which prevented them from making calls or connecting to the internet normally. Rectifying is wise and I hope they do not take a step back with this decision. Although it would be best if Apple allowed us to install the version that users wanted, but that would be more difficult to see.

iOS 8.3 was going bad for me so I went back to iOS 8.2, do you know if iOS 8.4 is stable? iphone 6 plus

    1.    Paul Aparicio said

Hello Josue. The 8.3 was not bad for me, nor the 8.4, but there have been reports of heating problems, Wifi (my brother with his iPad 2 cannot connect to my repeater in any way) and GPS, although the GPS seems that has a solution. If it's because of the jailbreak, maybe you should stick to 8.2, which I don't remember having any problem.

      A greeting.

If you have iPhone 4S with jailbreack; an infallible method to donwgrade to iOS 6.1.3 has already been released

Which one did you go down to, Rafael? I do not want to upload it to 8.4, if the 4s in 8.3 is a garbage less I will do it to the current one and much less to the 9 that comes next

With a 5s I was very happy in 8.3, I was anxious for 8.4 to come out to do jail and after updating, I have not managed to do the jail in any way, when it is not an error in 20% it is an error in 60% and I can never get it .
I have to admit that at the beginning when I updated, the battery and the heating I noticed a lot .. But now after a few days things are better and I no longer drink those failures.

    regards

I wanted to do the iOS 8.4, and I did it at the time of its departure, but my battery was too affected: from 100% to 20% only 3-4 hours passed and the phone spent it in Sleep mode. I had to downgrade to iOS 8.3 and with that my battery life returned to normal, but now I don't know whether to go back to 8.4, or wait for a version 8.4.1 that fixes the battery drain.

I'm a little tired of so much updating, one of the things that differentiated apple from android is that there is no fragmentation, but currently this is a delay, wifi, bluetooh, data problems and the most bleeding slow mobile phones and ipads or very slow that become unusable. Apple I want to be able to download version whenever I want if I don't end up switching to android xd

    1.    Paul Aparicio said

Hello, wolfk. Fragmentation is not just about systems. Fragmentation is difference between devices due to different hardware. As you know, in Android there are screens from almost square of about 2 ″ to screens of more than 10 ″. Each manufacturer has a hardware that will allow or not to run a system and / applications. An Android developer cannot program for the thousands of devices out there and that is the problem of fragmentation.

In iOS, a developer has to program for the 4S, the 5, the 5S, the 6, the 6 plus, iPad 2, iPad 4, Air and Air 2, being among them 100% compatible in cases like the iPhone 5 and the 5S.

I am not defending anything, but rather I am commenting on the differences in fragmentation between one case and the other.

Hello Pablo, thank you for commenting, in what you say I totally agree with you, what annoys me is that apple shows that 80% (to say something) have ios 8 installed when in reality we have little choice. Here is my case: with ios 7 my ipad 3 flew, as in theory ios 8 was going to be the last update of the ipad 2 I understood that my ipad 3 would have no problems, when I installed it I could go back to ios 7 but like ios 8 was poorly debugged and decided to wait for an update to fix this. Today I have ios 8.4 with the impossibility of going back to ios 7 and although things have improved slightly, I still regret having installed version 8 and also there is another dilemma and it is that since it is too slow for me I think about buying another Ipad but who You say that the same thing will not happen again? Will I have to keep watching youtube videos to see the performance of each new version? This update system does not seem operative at all and I think this problem happens to him and it will happen to most users. I know that Apple would receive criticism but I prefer that they not let me upgrade to a higher operating system if my device is going to stop being "operational". For that, it would be better if they allowed you to download the version on old devices if the new version does not guarantee a minimum of quality. Greetings and sorry for extending myself so much

    1.    Paul Aparicio said

Hello, Wolfk. I agree whit you on that thing. I, who have a very similar thought with Apple, think that it is "fine" for them to "help" us to have the best system in terms of functions and security, but they would have to leave a little wide sleeve if they know that the system does not work PERFECT. If I were Tim Cook, I would let the iPhone 4 and iPad 2 downgrade to iOS 6.1.6 which was a safe and stable system. Features would be lost, but fluency would be gained and it has no known serious security flaws.

Then there is the issue of installing everything we want and that is not going to happen at Apple. They push for everything to advance (as examples, USB 2 and C or having to install the latest system). That push seems good to me, like a mother pushing her young to walk, but I don't think it's good if that mother pushes us off a cliff ...

  12.   wolfk said

Hi Pablo, I loved the comparison with the mother, in fact I feel like that, pushed over the precipice with the iPad 3 and afraid to buy another one and return to the precipice. I think that in the end this is going to take its toll on Apple and I am very sorry, I am also very close to the brand but I do not think it is a good path. All the best
