iOS 9.3 includes new option to auto-install updates

ios-9.3

Last Monday, Apple launched the beta 5 of all your operating systems. In the case of the fifth beta of iOS 9.3Although not many changes were expected, they have included some new features. One of them is a new option for when we have activated the automatic software updates. Until beta 4 of iOS 9.3, new firmware could be downloaded automatically and gave us two options: install it or install it later. As of beta 5, when we choose the option to install it later, it will take us to a new screen where we will have to verify that we want to update the device at night.

As you can see in the following image, we will have to enter our code (maybe in the future it will be possible with the Touch ID) to activate the option to auto-install the software update. When entering the code we will see a text that warns us that the firmware is going to be updated automatically and will allow us to cancel. Updates are usually done at an hour when we are supposed to be sleeping, which is around 3 in the morning.

This new option is not that it is very important, but it does provide a lot of comfort to the previous way of doing it. Until beta 4, after telling it that we wanted to install the firmware later, we had to go to the settings and install them manually. In addition, if we choose the option to remind us at another time, we will be will create a reminder in the native app.

If there are no surprises, iOS 9.3 will be released publicly sometime in March. Most likely, the day of the event will come when they will present the 4-inch iPhone that is currently known as the iPhone SE and the new 9,7-inch iPad that will be called the iPad Pro.
