iOS 9 includes the option to save PDF to iBooks

Since the release of the first iOS 9 betas, little by little, new features are shown that Apple did not announce in the presentation. Keep in mind that in addition to performance and operation improvements, Apple has added small new functions that we will discover over time as we test the betas more thoroughly.

Currently if we want to save web pages in PDF format, we have to resort to third-party applications, but with a new function available in iOS 9 we can share with the iBooks application those PDFs or web pages that we find while browsing the internet so we can have it on hand when we have a little free time.

This new option will prevent us from having to create shortcuts in our springboard to be able to later consult a tutorial that we have found while browsing or an article that we liked and want to keep it. Keep in mind that iBooks is not the best platform for storing files in PDF format, due to the limitations that now offers us to share what we store in the application.

iBooks only allows us to share via email and print the document. Ideally, to see if we are lucky and when the final version reaches users, it would be for Apple to add the option to be able to open PDF files in other applications that allow us to modify and edit PDFs as PDF Expert for example.

With the new functions that the Notes application has received, it is likely that among the sharing options we will also find the option to save the documents we create in PDF format, otherwise little or no sense would have the new functions that have turned the Notes app into a full word processor which for most iDevices users is the ideal replacement for Pages.
