iOS 9 is causing problems with POP email

Mail-Iso

A large number of users have expressed their discomfort with the iOS 9 Official App Issues for Email Management, I was the first. Specifically, these users are experiencing a series of problems in POP mail and other and varied problems with ghost notifications and permanent emails that do not disappear even if we delete them. Not to mention the connection problems that are happening lately with Microsoft Hotmail email accounts. Another of the most common problems is the error when opening email attachments, where it shows us a message of problems with the download of the same.

We are seeing many solutions in these different forums, but unfortunately none is effective for sure, the real solution is to go to third-party applications, and I have done so, despite abandoning Outlook with the arrival of iOS 9, the time has come to return to what for me is the best email management application on the market on the App Store, plus for free.

Some even point to Apple engineers, who say that the problem lies in deleting this email account and putting it back in Mail, which I assure you, does not work at all. This problem has been dragging on since the initial version of iOS 9 and of course it has not been fixed with the arrival of iOS 9.0.1 or iOS 9.0.2. It is insane that Apple has these types of errors in a productivity application so essential for many as the email application, and having to go to other third-party applications to enjoy proper operation.

If you want to solve the problem you already know that the solution is unfortunately to go to another application, my advice is Outlook if you still do not know it, although there are many alternatives.

Most of these issues originated from Microsoft's servers, the issue was presented on December 23rd and apparently they were able to resolve it on October 9th (yesterday). I have not yet checked if the problems have disappeared in iOS or OS X. The following official Microsoft link explains the details and how they solved it.

I have also had quite a few problems with the mail, I decided to remove these accounts from the mail and add them in Outlook, not even deleting them and adding them again has been the solution.

How strange, I discarded Outlook before the arrival of the new mail functions, and I am doing very well, I can say excellent.

Hi Miguel, I honestly cannot say that I have had any problems with iOS9 or the Mail App. In fact, my experience with iOS9 and OS X El Capitan has been excellent. Understanding that you perform clean inflations.

    Greetings.

The problem you mention in the article "with ghost notifications and permanent emails that do not disappear even if we delete them" I have had in iOS 8.4.1 (12H321) on an iPhone 5S, with a hotmail account; the only solution has been to remove the account and access it with outlook.

Until today, October 12, the problem has not been solved in two Iphone computers, do they still receive or send the emails, someone who has already worked correctly?

My particular case is not with IOS 9, it is with MAC OS El Capitan, the mail is fatal and yes, I use Outlook as usual.

I updated to iOS 9.2 and I started to have problems, the mail App closes, SIRI was silent and the system in general is very slow, the Apple people do not attend you I think I am going to let you buy that brand, its service is poor

      I think exactly the same.
I have had about 6 Iphone, tables etcc
It is a shame that aple with what bale in an iPhone leaves us hanging with Outlook 2013.
In the end I lag from 9.2 to 8.4 and outlook works fine.
Imagine paying € 900 for a phone and not being able to have the latest version due to a synchronization problem with the most and least microsoft outlook 2013 of a lifetime.
