IPhone 6s records better than Nikon D750 DSLR under normal conditions

One of the novelties that arrive with the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus are the improved cameras, both the main one and the FaceTime. In the main camera, we went from the 8 megapixels of the iPhone 6 to the 12 megapixels of the iPhone 6s / Plus, but the improvement is not only in the camera. The new iPhone models are capable of recording video in 4K quality, as well as slow motion recording in 1080p at 120fps. Video quality has improved to the point where the iPhone 6s records better video than Nikon D750 DSLR, but with nuances.

It has been the on-line photography community Fstoppers who have compared both devices and have given a clear victory for iPhone 6s. To make the comparison they have left aside the low light conditions and, of course, the interchangeable lenses that the Nikon D750 DSLR has available. What Fstopper has done is record in ideal conditions in 4K and 30fps for the iPhone and 30fps with ISO 100 and F / 8 quality.

As the photographer says, iPhone videos (bottom image) look better than Nikon D750 DSLR (top image), with better bit rate and better colors, contrast and details. This is because the Nikon is not capable of recording 4K resolution video, something that neither are most reflex cameras on the market.

This is not to say that the iPhone 6s always captures better images and is a better option for professionals than the Nikon D750 DSLR; it just shows that the iPhone 6s outperforms certain SLR cameras under ideal conditions and that in these conditions it is a much better option than these cameras because it is much simpler to use and transport. We leave you with the complete video of Fstoppers.

How much nonsense do you have to read… and very well it records very well and… how long can you record full on the model with the highest capacity? These types of articles show very little rigor

Pako… Rigor?… What calving do you say? The article is informing us that according to the said photographer and in the mentioned conditions the iPhone 6s obtains better image, colors and bit rate than Nikon in video recording.
What do you have to discuss about this ?? !! Who is talking here about half an hour of video or a thousand hours ?!
Bullshit? Hahahaha what is nonsense of everything said?
You must be as bored as I am to comment on a useless thing like yours, to make comments as useless as yours.

Let's learn something: DSLRs are excellent cameras but terrible video recording, and they are terrible because if technology is focused precisely on photography, not video.

PS: These videos had already been made in advance by Samsung (Note 3 to be exact) and both cases are just as useless.

It is good to know that it improves the iPhone but as the article mentions you need the ideal conditions to beat the reflex that is not its strength the video, something that a photographer cannot afford if he needs to record that the ideal conditions are only someone that records for hanging out.

What a stupid comparison. Directly in the still image being compared, the sky with the iPhone is totally burned out. Obviously the greater latitude of a SLR, and many more things, make this comparison a fallacy that I think does a disservice to the apple brand. The poor man who believed it and told his colleagues will have been in evidence.

I have an iphone 6s and also a nikon d750. I am very in love with my iPhone, the camera is amazing, the best camera that exists in the smartphone market, without a doubt. Now, comparing your video with that of the d750 is absurd, I suppose that the video is simply viral advertising. Hey, we are all free to think what we want but from my point of view it's just that, covert advertising.
