Some specifications of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are leaked

Although whenever we talk about leaks we have to remain skeptical, either because they could be leaked by the company itself or simply be false, they have filtered various specifications of upcoming Apple releases, that is, of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. The information has appeared on the Chinese Twitter, Weibo, and reveals alleged details of several key points of the next smartphones that Apple will present in about two weeks.

The information leaked a few hours ago on Weibo claims, among other things, the same as a rumor that we have already talked about in Actualidad iPhone: the iPhone 7 will have 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM, Whereas the iPhone 7 Plus will have 3GB of the same type of RAM. One analyst said that the extra 1GB of RAM would be needed to process the information collected by the two dual camera lenses of the iPhone 7 Plus.

The iPhone 7 Plus will have a 12 + 12 megapixel camera

The leak also talks about the cameras of the next iPhones, but the new information may be a jug of cold water for those who prefer the 4.7-inch iPhone: the iPhone 7 will have a camera of only 12Mpx -no 21Mpx- although the sensor will be 1 / 2.6 ″, down from 1/3 ″ of the iPhone 6s. The open would drop from ƒ / 2.2 to ƒ / 1.9 and the size of the pixels would be 1.3µm.

Regarding the iPhone 7 Plus camera, it would be confirmed that both would be 12Mpx, they would have a 1/3 ″ sensor and their aperture would also be ƒ / 1.9. The size of the pixels has not been revealed, so will we have a surprise in this regard when the iPhone 7 Plus is presented?

The leak also gives us details of the battery of both devices: 1960mAh for the 4.7-inch model and 2910mAh for the 5.5-inch model. This information coincides with information published by OnLeaks last July and would translate into a 14% higher battery than present in the models launched last year.

As we mentioned at the beginning of this post, we have to remain skeptical of any leak, but there is less and less to know if any information is confirmed or denied.

How you can tell that those who write this have no idea of photography basics, I explain:
    > They mention that "although the sensor will be 1 / 2.6 ″, going down from 1/3 ″… a 1 / 2.6 sensor is bigger than one of 1/3 (simple arithmetic fractions, by God!) In that case they should use the word "going up" instead of "going down."
    > Another, they say that «The aperture would drop from ƒ / 2.2 to ƒ / 1.9 ″… in photography, the smaller the F number the aperture is GREATER. then the opening would not "go down" but RISE.
You have to know what they write before publishing.

Hello Manuel. I'm not an expert, but that's how far I go. I speak of numbers and the numbers are smaller.

Only Manuel is right; In photography, the aperture value of the diaphragm, the smaller it is, the greater the amount of light that can enter the sensor, and therefore the “blur” effect will be much greater and better.

Perhaps we can understand the intention of the author when talking about reduction because in reality the figures are lower, although speaking in photographic terms it is the opposite (obviously in technical matters such as the aperture of the diaphragm, since we know that the greater the aperture, the better the shots. in low-light conditions, which the iPhone has not succeeded so far). What is certain is that the camera of the new iPhone will be much better by allowing better shots.
