IPhone Component Vendors Lower Their Revenue Forecast

El iPhone XS and XS Max They triumphed from the moment Apple introduced them almost two months ago. However, we do not know the number of components sold and how the entire spectrum of society has been divided between the three current iPhones: XS, XS Max and XR. Most likely, the Big Apple had some forecasts, but according to the latest reports iPhone production is going to decline.

The information comes from the company AMS AG, a manufacturer of components for the entire Face ID complex that these three new iPhones carry. AMS AG executives have announced a decrease in the revenue forecast because "a major customer" has changed his claim.

The iPhone dilemma and revenue forecast

Revenues really matter for Apple, but it's not the most important thing. If we analyze it, over time Apple is selling fewer devices (not a big difference), but at a higher price. That means that income is maintained even with fewer products coming. Although this is not ideal, Apple will study the causes and analyze where it wants to focus its sales interests.

However, we cannot be sure of a decrease in income until the same day that Apple presents us the financial data for the last fiscal quarter. But what we can do is look at the manufacturers from whom the Big Apple buys the components to assemble their devices. It is the case of AMS AG, a Swiss-based manufacturer that is tasked with creating highly accurate ambient sensors, one of which carries Face ID. A few days ago they announced a decrease in revenue forecast:

AMS dijo que la reducción [del pronóstico de ingresos] se debe a los «cambios recientes en la demanda de un cliente importante».

It is thought that the main income of AMS AG comes from Apple, which may indicate that the uncertainty about the sale of the new iPhones would have made Apple reduce the number of requests to its suppliers to avoid having more devices than they could surely sell. What this factory has done is in line with what Qorvo Inc, Lumentum Holdings Inc and Japan Display Inc. were already doing this week. Perhaps everything indicates that Apple is lowering your expectations, without causing fear among shareholders.
