Apple likes to patent many things, we could say too many, and that is because behind these patents that we are discussing month by month, normally nothing is hidden at all. However, taking a look at them and contemplating them with little faith gives us a slight idea of what the Cupertino company intends for the future. This time the patent is not as fanciful as we used to, but it is perhaps something weirder than usual, a system of digital avatars for our iPhone, which seem to have little to little practical utility, do not?
Unless Apple intends to innovate with its second social network, or that the avatars are going to represent us in some section of the system, it has no logic whatsoever. In fact, if we stick to the design of the patent device, it seems that it is something that Apple has been working on for quite some time, despite the fact that the logos look like the renewed iOS 7, the Home button is the classic without TouchID.
Apparently, Apple could pretend that we had a system of digital avatars through the operating system, something similar to what Nintendo offers with its Mii, an avatar that will represent us in the rest of the activities and in the social function that we could grant to the mobile device.
It will allow users to create and customize avatars for use in online games and other applications. From a sketch, the user can add and improve the appearance of their avatar. Aspects such as eyes, nose, hair, mouth ... and other elements associated with the physical characteristics of human beings and fashion may be modified.
