iPhone Widescreen: concept of an iPhone with an extendable screen

iphone widescreen

A long time ago, I would say that since Samsung launched the first Galaxy Note, that there is a debate between those who prefer a larger screen to be able to see the content better and those who prefer a smaller screen that allows us to carry the device with greater comfort. I end up deciding on the big screen, but because the iPhone X Plus also includes OIS and offers greater autonomy. What I wish would be a 4-inch iPhone that could enlarge its screen in some way and that is exactly what the iPhone Widescreen.

We have seen many iPhone concepts, but most only provide a new design, as is the case of one that shows us a thinner iPhone and without the 3.5mm jack port that everything seems to indicate that it will disappear with the arrival of the iPhone 7. But that is not the case with the iPhone Widescreen, a creation by Timothy Donald Cook that would allow a normal iPhone to become a kind of tablet when extend your screen.

iPhone Widescreen, a hybrid between tablet and smartphone

The iPhone Widescreen, in addition to including the magical screen, also includes other aspects that have been rumored, such as the absence of the 3.5mm jack port. On the other hand, it also has the curved screen on the sides like Samsung's Galaxy X Edge, but with a totally different intention, which is none other than to extend the screen.

The operation of the Widescreen cannot be said to be too simple: when the device is in, say, smartphone mode, the interface is docked to the phone screen. When we want to open it, we press a button and it displays. Once opened, the volume buttons are on the curve flexible screen.

Will we ever see it? I honestly doubt it. Flexible displays are the near future, but I don't think Apple will ever release a device with a system that seems so fragile (they'll have learned their lesson by now with the iPhone 6 Bendgate). In addition, if we take into account that "the next big thing" will be virtual reality, I am more inclined to think that, if it is expected to be successful with a device whose screen grows, the best thing could be to launch a terminal with a kind of projectoras long as the image quality is good.

What do you think of the iPhone Widescreen?

I think this will never come since it does not have any useful function from my point of view, if the curved screen looks good or even that it was all screen but we will see with what the Cupertino ones surprise us this time.

It seems like rubbish: 3 apart, then what would the iPad do with that thing?
