One of the novelties that the iPhone 7 is rumored to include is in its camera. The next iPhone, all according to rumors, will have a dual camera that will allow you, among other things, to take images with higher quality. But to what extent would the images improve? Well, a rival of LinX, a company that Apple acquired, has demonstrated the benefits that a dual camera system could offer and has recorded it in a video shared by CNET.
The first thing we can see is that the image taken with the dual camera offers images from a far superior quality when we zoom. The company doing the demonstration is called Corephotonics and it says that it has been working on this type of system since 2014, but that the assembly line had not yet been able to meet the necessary demand until now. This information can also serve as a reference and make us think that, indeed, Apple will also arrive in time to include a dual camera in the iPhone 7

The information from Corephotonics stating that their system will be ready for mass production this year confirms what the Sony CFO said, who assured that 2016 it will be the year in which cameras with two lenses will begin to appear. At this point it is also important to remember that the lenses used by the iPhone are from Sony. I would say that the issue seems to be clear.
The ability to magnify images with lower noise is not the only advantage that a dual camera system would offer. It would also improve the Achilles heel of mobile cameras: images taken in low light conditions. In low light, the images would also be seen with less noise.
But there is also something that nobody is talking about, and that is that with two lenses you can also take images simulating 3D. As in sight (and hearing), in order to assess depth we need a second eye. With two lenses, as HTC has shown (among others), users could move the image and see how objects change their perspective slightly. In addition, you could also change focus later taking the picture.
In any case and although everything seems to indicate that the iPhone 7 will come with a dual camera, everything that is discussed here will remain on paper if we do not see it on the iPhone that will be presented in September 2016.
