It is possible to charge the battery of a smartphone in 30 seconds with biological semiconductors

One of the negative points that smartphones still have, including the iPhone, is the battery life. It is proven that in any of these terminals, whatever its manufacturer, the autonomy of the batteries does not reach much more than one day. But a small startup company from Israel called StoreDot is working on the development of a new technology that allows the charge these devices in as little as 30 seconds.

Although the capacity and duration of these are not increased, at least try to make their load almost immediate and do not wait an average of 2 hours for the percentage to be 100%. For this they make use of biological semiconductors, with which they have created a charger that allows the terminal to charge completely for 30 seconds, as shown in the video they have posted with a Samsung Galaxy S3.

StoreDot Demo

The biological semiconductors They are made from organic compounds, bound together by peptide solution, a protein structure that incredibly speeds up the process of charging the device's battery to the point of seeming unimaginable. As seen in the video it is a prototype and therefore a test version, but from StoreDot it is believed that the final product in 2016. They will also try to reduce its size so that it is an accessory that is easy to transport and will have a final price of about $ 60, which may be a more than good investment given the transience they will play in their work.

This charger model will be compatible with different smartphone models, including the iPhone. The only thing that is not entirely clear is how this fast charge would affect the health of current batteries of lithium ion, apparently it is not recommended that they be charged in this way so quickly and this could reduce the useful life that they can offer us and therefore with each charge they gradually decrease their autonomy. We will have to wait if from StoreDot they refer to this aspect.

What do you think of this prototype? Would you buy it?

Would you buy it ?? Without hesitation! Of course, it would be necessary to see if charging a battery in 30 seconds is harmful for it or if instead of lasting 1000 cycles it lasts 500 etc.
Anyway this would have to see Apple come out with so much innovation with its iPhone 2G / 3G in 2007/2008 and some Israelites arrive and go ahead! I'm not saying that Apple is the best of the best .. But it should do something innovative with the batteries of its iphones ... With the amount of millions they earn.

for the iphone that lasts the battery a blink would be great

I think that sooner or later, Apple or Samsumg will buy this project and your company… Very good work

By the way, in paragraph 3 in the last line the correct thing is "They will perform"
