iTunes 12.4 shows problems playing Apple Music songs under 60 seconds

iTunes-12.4

Again the iTunes application comes to the fore again and as usual in recent weeks, it is due to malfunctions. The previous version, 12.3 had presented problems in some Macs in which it had been dedicated to deleting the entire music library of the users. All the songs and albums of the users disappeared as if by magic and as much as the company tried to reproduce the failure, it did not succeed and they chose to visit the home of one of those affected by this problem, a problem it did not manage to reproduce again.

Even so, the company released the update that is planned for iTunes, 12.4, in which as we have been able to see during the weeks that it has been between us, aesthetic and operational changes are the main novelties, but not the only ones.

The guys at MacRumors have discovered a new bug in the latest version of iTunes. This bug does not allow the next song to be played when the previous one is less than 60 seconds long. When this song ends in less than a minute, the app freezes as if was storing the content in the buffer to play the next song, but it doesn't go from there.

This bug it only seems to affect content played through Apple Music, not with the music stored on our Mac. MacRumors has tried to reproduce this error in iTunes 12.3 and in macOS Sierra without success, so apparently the problem is in the current version of iTunes that Apple released a few weeks ago.

At the moment the company has not recognized this failure, since it was published a few hours ago and the Cupertino engineers must be trying to reproduce this bug to try to find a solution that will arrive in the form of an update in the next few days.
