Apple also released iTunes 12.5.5 with minor fixes

iTunes

Yesterday, Monday, was the launch day for new versions of Apple's official software. Along with iOS 10.2.1, macOS Sierra 10.12.3, tvOS 10.1.1 and watchOS 3.1.3, those from Cupertino also launched a new version of their iTunes media player and content manager. The new version, iTunes 12.5.5 It arrives without any notable novelty, or at least with nothing that we can see with the naked eye but, according to Apple, includes "small improvements to the app and performance."

Since yesterday around 19pm (Spanish peninsular time), we can download iTunes 12.5.5 from the updates section of the Mac App Store (opening iTunes notifies us that there is a new version and invites us to update) from macOS or from the download page of the software if what we use is a Windows computer. Windows users can also update using the "Check for updates" option in the player's help menu.

iTunes 12.5.5 is a minor update, according to Apple

The new version of iTunes comes after a v12.5.4 that did introduce interesting changes, such as the support for the new TV application, which at the moment and that I know is only available in the United States, and the Touch Bar of the new MacBook Pro that arrived at the end of 2016. Before that, those of Cupertino released other updates important that changed many aspects of iTunes, such as the way we view files or, more importantly for me, the ability to view song lyrics without having to use third-party applications.

With all these releases, something is still missing: a new version of Xcode. That Apple has not released it can only mean that the current version is fully compatible with the new versions of iOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS. If there are news and as always, we will inform as soon as possible.

    Hello,

Since the last iTunes updates, "artist" and "album" appear in gray in the menu and "go to" does not appear in the contextual menu, when before there was no problem….

Any tips or tricks to get back to using "go to"?

    Thank you.
