Twitter is in a deep phase of change. Since its original founder returned to take command of the social network, it has become clear that they must do something if they want to continue adding users and maintain the trust of companies in them. There are many novelties that seem to be planning from the different teams of the platform, although only a few will be the ones that we will see implemented in a definitive way.
After the change in character count, whereby media files, polls and citations in the 140 character limit stopped being counted, the next thing that could come is the ability to edit tweets already posted. The truth is that not infrequently we write, generally, tweets with spelling errors or ambiguous meaning that we want to change after publishing them, something that is only possible by deleting the tweet and rewriting.
The possibility of editing the published content would not only save time, but would also offer a better experience for the users of the same. This is one of the options that has been in demand the most for a long time, and it seems that could finally be taken into account by the social network and see it come true on the screens of our computers and phones in a while.
The CEO of the company himself, Jack Dorsey, commented on the social network about this possibility that we are talking about. In addition, it clarified a debate on which it was commented if this function should be only for verified users or not.
@howardlindzon not sure why you're quoting this tweet but yes, a form of edit is def needed. But for everyone, not just those w badges

You need a way to edit [the tweets]. But for everyone, not just those with a verified profile.
We will have to see how this possible feature evolves, as well as the rest of the improvements that Twitter could develop over the next year, such as a better reporting system against abuse or tools to improve relevance in searches.
