Joypad turns your iPhone into an iPad gamepad

The iPad has more and more relevance in the world of video gamesIn recent times, the games that are released for iPad are spectacular and there are fewer and fewer differences with classic consoles. But the gaming experience is still lacking in many cases, and the physical controls are superior to the iPad touch screen, at least for now. There are many devices that provide these physical controls to the iPad, but compatible with few video games. Joypad offers us another alternative that is very interesting.

Joypad Controller turns your iPhone into a great controller for many games available on the App Store, so even though you still use a screen to control the game, the controls can be larger, and you avoid having to play with the iPad in your hands, which is sometimes a bit awkward . Those games are installed on your iPad, and you control them with your iPhone thanks to the application. A great option to enjoy arcade games with the feeling of playing on the consoles of a lifetime. The downside is that not all games are compatible, and it is sometimes difficult to find them.

That is why Joypad has launched another application today, Joypad Game Console, from which we can find compatible games, and we can also launch them if we already have them installed on our iPad. In order to use the application, both devices (iPad and iPhone) must be connected to the same WiFi network. In addition, the Game Console application is compatible with Apple TV, so that the sensation of playing on your game console can be total. The type of control varies by game, using "virtual" buttons, pads, and even your iPhone's gyroscope. Full control of the game is done from the iPhone, and you can exit the current game and select another without touching your iPad at all, just your iPhone. Currently only 17 compatible games appear on the Game Console, but there are 39 more games that are compatible, so it is expected that developers will gradually incorporate games into the application. Both applications are free, but the games are not, you will have to pay 1,79 euros for each one.

I do not understand it very well, with this I can for example play Modern Combat 4 from my iPhone? Or is it only for those games that you say you have to buy separately? It's that if it's the latter, it seems like a shit to me. Unless you tell me that Gameloft at some point, and it is still an example, will support this app.

Let's say that if ultimately this is only valid for an ecosystem of games, let's say closed, or on the contrary it can be valid for everyone, only that they will have to support the application.

At the moment it is only valid for some games, more than 50 according to its developers, but the one you say is not within the compatible ones. Will it ever be? Well, I don't know, that just depends on its developers wanting to do it.
A pity that for now no one has taken seriously creating a universal remote.
