Koogeek already has its skill for Alexa in Spanish, this is how it installs

Koogeek has been one of the brands that has contributed the most to extending HomeKit through everyone's homes thanks to offering us devices compatible with the Apple platform at prices lower than those of the competition. What many do not know is that it is also compatible in many accessories with Alexa, Amazon's virtual assistant, and that therefore we can use them with their smart speakers, that this Christmas they are succeeding in a great way.

We were waiting for Koogeek to update his skill to be available in Spanish, and the time has come. You can now download the Koogeek skill and install it on your Amazon Echo and other speakers with Alexa, and thus control your bulbs, sockets, etc. by voice. Enjoying the advantages of HomeKit and Alexa at the same time is possible, and it is great news. Contrary to what we are used to with HomeKit and HomePod, in Alexa the accessories need an installation and configuration process, and here we explain how it is done.

How to install the Koogeek skill

The first step you must take is to open the Alexa application on your iPhone and select the "Devices" tab, in the lower right corner. Then select "My Digital Home Skills" and then click at the bottom, on "Activate Digital Home Skills". Then a window with several skills will appear, but the one we are looking for does not appear there, so you must click on the magnifying glass in the upper right corner and write "Koogeek". The only result that it will offer you is exactly what we are looking for, you only have to install it and enter your Koogeek account and password in one of the installation steps.

Once installed, it will automatically detect the devices you have installed on your network and automatically add them. Later you can change the name or even group them to treat them together. Once added to Alexa, you can use compatible speakers to turn lights, plugs, etc. on and off. In this first version of Koogeek in Spanish for Alexa there are many users complaining that it does not work well. If any Koogeek accessory does not work well, or does not detect it, open the Koogeek app, access the settings of that particular accessory and scroll down to the "Third party connections" section, in the "Alexa" section choose "Configure / Reconfigure »and the problem is resolved.
