Kuo: 12-inch iPhone 6.7 with new image stabilizer

Ultra Wide

A new rumor from the Korean analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. It is in permanent contact with the manufacturers of the components that are part of Apple devices, so any information that it lets go about the characteristics of these parts must be shown some attention, even if it is just that, a rumor.

This time it's the turn of the next iPhone (called iPhone 12, but not confirmed). It is reaffirmed in the rumor that I had already anticipated a long time ago with a new screen size greater than the iPhone 11 Pro Max, 6.7 inches, and explains that it will incorporate a new image stabilization system for the rear camera.

Kuo confirmed today that this year's next iPhone 12 will feature a massive 6.7-inch screen. You will also have larger camera sensors, to capture more light and increase the image quality of captured photos and videos.

All this had already been discussed for days. The significant novelty comes when explaining a new image stabilization system which will incorporate the iPhone 12 Pro Max, and which will expand to other models in 2021.

The current iPhone 11 Pro have optical image stabilization for photos and videos, but only when using the lenses Wide or Telephoto. With a new sensor change system, this problem would be solved, and stabilization would be applied to the camera sensor itself, without depending on the type of lens used.

Curiously, Kuo ensures that this new image stabilization system will only be available on the largest iPhone. Perhaps it is because of the size of its components, since presumably the iPhone 12 Pro Max is somewhat thicker than its current predecessor, and there is the kit of the question.

The analyst has also commented that in the long term, towards 2022, there will be an iPhone that will have a periscope lens. This would allow for a 5x or even 10x optical zoom. Currently iPhones have a 2x optical zoom and a 10x digital zoom.
