Sergio April, a young Spanish developer, has just launched his second game on the App Store. He is 23 years old and an architecture student who started programming iPhone games out of curiosity, as a hobby, about a year ago. For your first game learned Xcode in just 5 days, and so far he has been honing his skills.
His second game is called Lite Fish, and takes the aesthetic of one of his favorite games (and that of many): Tiny Wings. Aesthetically the graphics are similar, but the way of playing is different, although it hooks in the same way. In this case you have to help the little fish to jump out of the water to collect suns and prevent the sun from turning off, by touching these suns you must touch the screen and the fish will jump a little more, so you can stay in the air and multiply your score by 10 when you have 5 suns achieved without touching the water. Once the suns are obtained, you must release them before reaching the water with a button intended for this, if you enter the water you will lose the suns. The whole game is done with just one finger.
As you see is something simple but addictive, every time you want to get more and more score and thus go up in Game Center and sting with your friends. As you progress you can change the color of the fish and you will see new textures, all of them handmade.
The funniest thing is knowing that his whole family has collaborated in the creation of this game, his little brother, who is only 13 years old, has created the music for the game, and his other 20-year-old brother has designed the fish, Sergio has taken care of the rest and of course the programming. The result is a musical and aesthetic delight with a playability that can well compete with great games like Tiny Wings or Ski Safari.
