«Have you bought the most powerful console ever created and are you playing a kind of 2D Tetris?It was a popular joke in 2005, when the PSP, Sony's first portable console, was launched. But the game created by Q Entertainment fit very well on that console thanks, in part, to its image and sound and its relative simplicity. They released a couple of sequels that were not so successful, but now their developer wants to release two new versions on mobile devices, one of them under the name of lights 2016.
The mobile version of Lumines is being developed in collaboration with the original producer's new studio, Enhance Games. Six years ago now, Lumines Touch Fusion arrived at the App Store, but it was not very well received due to how little care this version came to iOS. Luckily, the next Lumines will be more like the PSP version, something that has been made possible by hardware improvements introduced in recent years.
Lumines will arrive in two versions: free and paid
There will be two versions:
- lights 2016- This will be the full version of the game. I could be wrong but, as a fairly important and paid game that it is, an amount will be paid and there will be few or no integrated purchases. If there are any, this will be to buy special items. In my opinion, for a game based on a version from a decade ago, I think there should not be much to buy, so I hope it is to pay once and play without obstacles that force us to pay.
- VR Lumens: under this name we will have the version freemium, free to play or free with integrated purchases, whatever you prefer to call it. Thus we will be playing a title with certain obstacles that will "invite" us to pay in order to advance. There is also the possibility that we can only play a time or a number of lives until we have to wait to be able to play again.
Lumines 2016 and Lumines VR coming to iOS and Android devices in winter, so in the worst case it will arrive at the end of March.
