Major manufacturers will support HomeKit with iOS 10

Since the presentation of HomeKit a little over a year ago, the company seems to have abandoned this project or had put it aside waiting for the right moment to launch it and focus on these types of devices connected to our iPhone or iPad. One of the novelties that iOS 10 will bring us, as we could see in the last keynote, is the HomeKit application, Casa in the Spanish version, through which we will have access to all devices that allow us to control the temperature of our home, the locks, the lights, the alarm, security cameras, the doorbell ...

Currently on the market we can find a large number of manufacturers that allow us to control all these devices independently, that is, through their own applications not jointly as we can do thanks to HomeKit. Some of the manufacturers that have already confirmed their support are August, Canary, Withings, Kuna, D-Link, Ring ...

These types of devices are the first step to be able to domotize many of the tasks that we currently perform manually in our homes and what could become over time and as the price goes down, something common in many homes. HomeKit is compatible not only with iOS 10 but we can also make use of our connected devices through our Apple Watch.

In order to control the different devices that we have connected to HomeKit, translated as Home in iOS 10 at least in the first beta, users will have several configurable options in which we can make joint adjustments for when we go to sleep, when we get up, let's leave home ... all these controls too can be activated or deactivated by voice commands through Siri, which for many people will be an extra comfort especially when we have just got up.
