The MEGA cloud storage service is currently the only service that offers us a reasonable amount of storage space completely free of charge. While Google offers us 15 Gb, Dropbox 2 GB and OneDrive after eliminating the unlimited accounts offers us 5 GB, the free cloud storage market points towards MEGA, the service created by Dot Com, former owner of Megaupload, which was dismantled a few years ago by the FBI, due to copyright infringements of most of the content that was stored, although not everyone used it for that type of content.
But if those 50 GB fall short, too we can hire a larger space from the application itself, where it allows us to expand the space up to 200 GB, 500 GB, 2 TB or 4 TB. MEGA has applications in all current operating systems on the market, as well as all cloud storage platforms, which greatly facilitates us to be able to access our data from any place and device.
What's new in version 3.1.1.
- Thumbnails for videos. With this update, the videos that we upload to MEGA will have their corresponding miniature. For the videos that are already stored, if we want to add a thumbnail, we just have to play them from the platform for a few seconds or download it.
