Apple includes Messages in iCloud in iOS 11.3

After announcing it as one of the great novelties of iOS 11 in the last WWDC 2017, Messages in iCloud had a fleeting appearance in the first Betas of iOS 11, Apple withdrawing this feature from the trial versions intended for developers to not include it in the version definitive. After several months of waiting, Apple seems to have already decided to include it in the next version that will launch this spring, iOS 11.3.

Despite the fact that this morning Apple was anticipating the changes that this new version would bring and that there was no trace of Messages in iCloud, the first Beta that we are already testing on our devices does It brings us this surprise that would allow, finally, that our messages are synchronized in all our devices.

Since the launch of Apple's messaging service, it has been tremendously absurd that messages were not synchronized between devices. The last straw came when we could even receive conventional messages (SMS) on our Mac when they were sent to our iPhone, and yet we still did not have the same messages on all our devices. This aberrational situation will finally come to an end and we can forget about having to make backup copies of our messages before a restoration of any of our devices.

The option is disabled by default, but the first time we open the Messages application, a home screen will appear in which we will be explained what it consists of, and which can be summarized as follows: all our messages will be in iCloud and synchronized between all our devices, so on the one hand we will save space by having the messages in the cloud without occupying the photos space on our devices, and on the other hand when we delete a message on one site, they will be deleted in all of them. As it must have been for a long time.
