Microsoft will bet on Cortana in Outlook for iOS

The constant interest on the part of the different technology firms in implementing the different virtual assistance services continues to rise, among which stand out Cortana, Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant above all others.

However, unlike Android, the tightness of iOS makes it extremely unattractive for the different virtual assistants to be integrated into the system, for which they use various applications. Now Microsoft seems to want to give Cortana, its virtual assistant, a new push by fully integrating it into its Outlook app for iOS.

For those who do not know, Outlook is the mobile version of the very veteran email manager of the Redmond firm. Despite all this, they decided to acquire an email management application already present on the platform, that way they didn't risk failing in any way. Little by little, integrating various improvements, they have achieved that, as is the case for PCs, in the case of mobile telephony Microsoft also has a lot to say in terms of email management. According to the information handled by The Verge, the complete integration between Outlook and Cortana is rather close on all platforms, including Android.

The integration with Cortana would allow users to enjoy the virtual assistant within the mail manager, Among other things, we can listen to our pending emails and dictate the answers easily through our voice. For now Microsoft is testing how it works and there is no exact final release date, although development is well underway. In addition, they confirm that various Bluetooth transmitters and receivers can be used to take advantage of Cortana through iOS. However, to be honest here no one had asked for a new virtual assistant, which will undoubtedly make the application more complex and heavy.
