Mimics, controlling the iPhone from a screen installed in your car

Mimics is a new system that allows us to use our iPhone through a touch screen installed in our car. After a simple installation, we simply have to connect the iPhone with the necessary cables (HDMI and 3,5 mm jack) and we will automatically have access to the applications, music and the telephone function.

The operation of Mimics lies in an interface that interprets the gestures we make on the screen installed in the vehicle and transmits the data collected to our iPhone using the Bluetooth connection.

Below you have a demonstration video of what can be done with Mimics:

If the system has convinced you, you can check the price and more information on the manufacturer's official website.

It seems to me a super interesting concept. I see it more as an add-on than a substitute for the car radio. It is a real past to be able to control and see the ipod / iphone / ipad in the car in that way. It does not show it in the video but I suppose there will be no difficulty in watching videos. It seems to me that the screen is not multi-touch (forget about gestures and the possibility of playing some games) but it seems very smart to me how they have solved the function of the home button.
I see it as a complement to the car audio system because it does not have a radio included (except the internet one) and if you eliminate your home computer and that day you do not have the Ipod / iphoen / ipad on you, you are left with nothing.

    An accessory to consider.

The Cydia icon looks super good on the screen ... Nothing else is missing an eye patch! Hahaha

I see from the video that the only great one but it is that it does not load while it is connected, it seems logical to me because it is an hdmi connector and jack, a big defect for my taste ...
