More details of the hidden Dark Mode in iOS 10

dark-mode

A few days ago, shortly after the first iOS 10 Beta was released, it came to light that Apple had a hidden dark mode hidden within its messages application from the user. Now it has been the same developer who discovered it who has managed to demonstrate that Apple not only has that mode restricted to messages, but that The entire system may appear in a Dark Mode that many users have been looking forward to for a long time.. Could it see the light at the launch of iOS 10?

It is not the first time that hidden functions have been found that Apple does not want to show to the public but that any developer with knowledge can reveal thanks to Xcode. The same has happened this time using the Simulator of said program, which is used to create applications for iOS, and with which by modifying some lines of code it is possible to activate this Dark Mode that you can see in the header image. It was rumored that Apple could introduce this new feature in the last Keynote on June 13, but it was not like that in the end. Will we see this Dark Mode soon? Are they just tests that Apple is doing before the next launch of an iPhone with an OLED screen?

My bet is more on this last point: Apple seems already willing to use OLED screens for the iPhone of 2017 and we have already told you on several occasions how these types of screens get along quite badly with the white colors, predominant in iOS since its release. The change to a new design in which black and dark grays are predominant would be essential to be able to improve the autonomy of the iPhone, since these colors suppose a lower cost of energy by the screen. Personally I highly doubt that we will see this Dark Mode in iOS 10, and we will have to wait until 2017 and iOS 11 to be able to enjoy it.
