Netflix would intend to allow offline playback this year

The streaming video platform that currently dominates the world is Netflix. In fact, it is found in all but four countries. Netflix, depending on the country, has a wide variety of content that we can play from any device that you have the Netflix application, which is currently in absolutely all market ecosystems.

For years, there have been many users who always have demanded the possibility of being able to download the content of the platform and being able to enjoy offline, when we do not have an internet connection, whether it is when we go on the subway, on a plane, on the bus, in the hospital ... but the platform has always turned a deaf ear.

Currently both Spotify and Apple Music allow us to download content to be able to play it without using our data rate. Such content is DRM protected and it cannot be extracted from it to be reproduced on other devices, so the idea of ​​Netflix has never made much sense, since by protecting content in this way they ensure that it does not circulate freely on the internet.

But it seems that finally the company executives have it clear and the leading company in the streaming video market will allow content to be downloaded for offline playback before the end of this year, as we have been able to read in Gizmodo USA and LightReading. Apparently it had to be the CEO of Netflix who has managed to convince the management team that with the current security measures, the risk that their content will begin to circulate freely on the internet is very low.

At the moment there is nothing official, but according to these publications, it is most likely that before the end of the year we will be able to download our favorite content before going on a trip. In the absence of more details, we also do not know if this option It will be available for all the content or only for the series that Netflix has.
