In recent years the design iOS is not changing much. However, the most interesting thing about each update are the new functions that they can contribute to users. That is Apple's challenge: contribute without subtracting from what they already have. With iOS 12 we did not see many substantial changes, but let's hope that iOS 13 gives us a joy.
Today we are going to analyze the concept published by Leo Vàllet. We have already seen many of the ideas embedded in the designs. However, there are ideas that have been integrated in different ways such as vitaminized multitasking with the control center or the possibility of blocking the terminal in case of strange behavior.
iOS 13 pretends to be a big update
The first point that we have to highlight about this concept created by the designer Leo Vallet es the professionalization of the operating system. There are interesting features like making iOS 13 compatible with external keyboards and mice that would increase the complexity of some tasks. Apple intends to take iOS and its devices (in this case, the iPad) to other spheres of work. We can also see in an image the possibility of using the iPad as an external display to make a second screen with programs like Final Cut Pro X, Photoshop or Xcode.
Another novelty of this concept is the redesign of Find my iPhone. In this case, it is not a redesign in terms of appearance, but the integration of new functions. Leo includes the complete lock of the terminal in case something happens that the device is not used to like a sharp hit on the stairs as an indication of a possible attack. The iPhone could only be unlocked with Face ID or Touch ID.
We also see the integration of the Control Center with multitasking, so that we would have in the same place all the apps open in the background and, at the same time, all the management of the control center at the bottom. On the other hand, it remains, as in almost all concepts so far, the iOS 13 dark mode. It is very likely that, finally, Apple wants to include it in its new operating system.
The next novelty is something that I have been waiting for a long time. It is not a change introduced in the operating system itself, but in Keynotes, Apple's presentation maker. With iOS 13 and the update of this program, we can control Keynote presentations from our terminal. And finally, a new look is added to raise or lower the volume of the device.
