Apple has already presented its new iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max, the top of the range of the company that arrive without great surprises regarding what the leaks had revealed to us, but without ceasing to be outstanding.
It is already a reality, the new iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max have been unveiled and if you have been attentive to all the rumors that we have been publishing, you will have practically no shock when seeing the specifications and design of the new terminals. Available in various bright colors (black, gold and white) this year green is replaced by a new blue color that really looks spectacular. Those of us who expected an iPhone Pro in red will have to keep waiting one more year.
The big news this year is 5G, which has been the protagonist during the presentation of the new iPhone. Outside the United States, we will have to wait for the operators to extend their current networks, which are currently very little present in our countries. 5G is the future for us, but for now the present outside the United States is 4G.
Apple has also improved the screen of the new iPhone, with a new Super Retina XDR screen that improves contrast and brightness, in addition to increasing the size of the same without increasing the size of the device. The iPhone 12 Pro is available with a 6,5-inch screen, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max with a 6,7-inch display.. In addition, the new ceramic coating makes it more resistant to scratches.
The iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max have a new processor, A14 Bionic, the same that Apple has included in the new iPad Air. It is the first processor with 5nm technology, improving its performance and energy efficiency. Its 6-core CPU and 4-core GPU, together with the Neural Engine make it, by far, the fastest processor available in the entire smartphone market right now.
The camera of these new models has improved, how could it be otherwise. An Ultra wide angle camera, the wide angle and a Telephoto, all with 12Mpx but with different focal lengths and apertures that make them better in low light situations. In addition, the size of the sensor is larger, so the quality of the photographs will also be improved by this factor. The A14 processor will take care of the image processing for excellent results.
Apple has added a new feature: Apple ProRAW that allows you to capture RAW images with the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max, without sacrificing the processing performed on the device's processor. This function will be available in all four cameras (the three rear and the front). The photos can be edited from the Photos application of the iPhone or in third-party applications.
The iPhoen continues to offer the best video quality on a smartphone. Now with the video recording in HDR the quality of the recordings will be multiplied, even reaching the recording in Dolby Vision HDR in 4K resolution and 60fps. You can even edit these videos without losing quality from the iPhone itself.
The LiDAR sensor is also present in the iPhone, used to know precisely the depth of the scene you are capturing. Augmented Reality will be better with this system, but also the camera improves, thanks to the fact that will be used to focus images more quickly, improving focus in low light situations. Portrait mode is enhanced with the use of LiDAR.
Another of the rumors that we have been talking about has been fulfilled, with a new magnet system that allows you to attach a new magnetic charger with which you can attach a magnetic charger, even a small card holder that is attached by magnets. The MagSafe has returned to Apple in a new idea that opens the door to countless applications that accessory manufacturers surely know how to take advantage of. Apple has also created a new dual travel charger that folds up and allows you to recharge your iPhone and Apple Watch simultaneously.
The new iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max do not include charger and EarPods with Lightning connector, as we expected, a measure that Apple has justified as a way of caring for the environment. Of course, they finally include all the USB-C to Lightning cable.
The price of the new iPhones remains stable, with the iPhone 12 Pro starting at € 1159 (128GB) and iPhone 12 Pro Max starting at € 1259 (128GB). They can be reserved on November 16 (iPhone 12 Pro) and November 6 (iPhone 12 Pro Max)
I share with the title of this note, "No surprises", more of the same.
Few differences: magnetic charge, improved camera, A14 processor, 5G, which in Latin America will take a long time to use those bands, but without much surprise. We expected what was presented, and in my person I expected to see more.
