New rumors confirm that the iPhone 7 Plus will have 3 GB of RAM

When there is little more than a month left for Apple to present the iPhone 7 and its different variants, or iPhone 6SE as we informed you a few days ago, there are more and more rumors that try to confirm each and every rumor, worth the redundancy, that have been published so far. Again according to DigiTimes publication based on various reports from memory chip manufacturers, the next model that Apple will launch on the market, will reach 3 GB, instead of the two currently available in the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus models.

This measure would help the industry in general after the cuts they have suffered after the industry slowdown that has led to a supply shortage of DRAM chips, which has caused a price increase across the board.

The report referenced by DigiTimes states that manufacturers Macronix International and Powertech Technology expect an increase in profit estimates based on increased demand from smartphone manufacturers without specifying names. This increase is striking since in recent years, manufacturers have not chosen to expand the RAM of the devices they have launched on the market.

This report echoes a prediction KGI analyst Ming Chi-Kuo announced last November  and in which we could read that the next 7-inch iPhone 5,5 will see its RAM memory expanded to 3 GB. We do not know if DigiTimes is repeating the same report or if it has a source related to the production chain with specific details beyond the conclusions reached by the increased profits of these memory manufacturers. At the moment we can only do one thing to confirm it and that is to wait.
