All the news that iOS 10.3 will bring

Yesterday Apple launched the first Beta of iOS 10.3, a version that arrives in the middle of the year, and that as usual in Apple, includes many new features, many of which are visible to the user, others invisible but that improve the experience of use your device. Find my AirPods, new Settings menus, Siri and Carkit improvements, App Store improvements… A long list of changes that we will show you below with images and video.

Find my AirPods

It is undoubtedly the most striking novelty of this new version 10.3 Beta 1. A new option that we see integrated into the Find my iPhone application and that will allow us to find our AirPods thanks to the location on the map and that we can make it emit a sound to locate them more easily. To be able to use this option it is necessary that the AirPods are out of their box and also within reach of a device with our iCloud account.

It is therefore not a valid option if we have really lost our headphones on the street or have left them forgotten in a bar, since they do not have their own connectivity and need a device to connect to in order to use this new function. But if we have left them in a coat pocket or it has crept between the sofa cushions, then it can help us a lot.

New menu of your account in Settings

The System Settings bring new options, and one of them will make it much easier to manage different aspects of our account. When you enter the Settings, at the top of the menu, presiding, you will find a new menu with your iCloud photo. TOThere you will find the security configuration options, payment methods, email, shipping address… As well as all the devices you have associated with your account.

Also within this menu we will find the iCloud options, and a new bar that in a very visual way shows us how busy we are with our account, and which elements take up the most space, thanks to the different colors that each one has. Apple has brought together everything related to our account in a single element, and the result is quite good.

Weather in Maps and widget for Podcasts

Other novelties include the new widget for the native Podcast application, with the covers of those you have yet to listen to, offering you the possibility of listening to the podcast just by tapping on the corresponding cover, without having to open the application. A point in favor of the native application that recovers a lot of lost ground with third-party applications with something so simple but so comfortable. Maps also has some improvements, such as the ability to see the weekly weather forecast by just 3D Touching in the lower right corner, where it shows current conditions.

Other improvements

El new faster, more reliable and more secure APFS file system, and that it will be universal for all Apple devices, both with macOS and with iOS and tvOS is also included in this version 10.3, and a long list in which we can highlight the improvements of Siri and CarPlay, the floating keyboard for iPad ( currently hidden), changes in the App Store review system that will allow the developer to respond to user comments, and new animations when opening applications. And we are only in the first Beta, so there could be more news.

Interesting but, what about the "theater" mode?
    That can not be missing…

Hello Alejandro. At least in beta 1 of v10.3 nothing is mentioned like that in iOS. It is mentioned in the watchOS 3.2 changelog, but not on iOS. We'll see if it finally arrives or stays in a mode so that a paired Apple Watch doesn't disturb theaters.

      A greeting.

Lousy!!! nothing is improved! At this point, it is to improve the basic and most necessary options of the telephone, for example the camera, the autonomy of the battery, I am interested in seeing the time on maps ??? I need that maps do not suck the battery !!! I am interested in those carplay improvements when a Samsung takes a photo and it is already smoothed or corrected to see the faces without imperfections while one must have an app to take the photo and then correct it? I do not know there are very elementary things that do NOT improve, the clearest example is that one buys a fucking ringtone with the hope that THAT sounds, that's why one buys it, and it does not have integration with apps such as whatsapp, fb, etc. then only sounds with messages! And let's face it, who do you send messages to that are not from one of the mentioned apps ????? This is how it is to lose money to buy the ringtone or they don't sell anything at all because it is not used! When are you going to integrate WhatsApp with iPhone ringtones? that almost is already something basic! And so you can say thousands of changes that are necessary but do not make! it's a giant stalemate since ios 8
