Newton is that email application that has ended up conquering us all. In case you don't know it yet, Newton is the evolution of CloudMagic, the most popular multiplatform email client. Newton's development team is always on the lookout for news in iOS, however, it seems that this update to iOS 10 got them a bit choked up, offering a number of functionalities that were missing a bit. So, Newton has been updated today to improve performance in iOS 10, in fact, it has not added a single functionality. We also remember that Newton has a fantastic application for the Apple Watch that allows us to manage mail from our wrist.
These are the improvements that Newton has added to his email application and that we can already find in the iOS App Store, taking the application to the version 9.1.19:
- Fixed the problem that Remote Wipe was not syncing correctly
- Navigation Drawer improvements
- Solved the problems that occurred with the emails already read, they did not get to synchronize and they returned to the inbox as "unread"
- Custom notifications on the iOS 10 screen work stably again
- Performance improvements and general stability of the application to avoid crashes
CloudMagic was a totally free application, its successor, Newton, is not. The application can be tested but ends up having subscription costs of up to € 49,99. It occupies 120MB and is translated into countless languages. Compatible with any iOS device above iOS 8.0, available in multiplatform for PC, macOS, Android, and any iOS device universally.
It is a real shame that the subscription is so expensive, the reality is that CloudMagic (now Newton) works really well, and when you get used to its services it is difficult to go back to others. Nevertheless, If you don't decide to pay, we recommend Outlook as the second best email management app for iOS.
There's also Spark, which is a bit better for me than outlook.
