Nintendo to announce Animal Crossing for mobile devices tomorrow

Tomorrow, Thursday, the Nintendo company will issue a new Nintendo Direct, a recurring company event to inform about the news that will arrive in the coming months on the company's platform or to the games you plan to release on mobile platforms. In the next Nintendo Direct, the Japanese company will speak Animal Crossing for mobile devices, as announced through the official Animal Crossing Twitter account.

Since the Japanese company officially announced that it was working on Animal Crossing, in April of last year, little or nothing we have known about the development of this version for mobile devices, while Fire Emblem, announced on the same date, has been available since last February.

The last game in this franchise was released in 2012 and was intended solely for the Nintendo 3DS., ignoring the Nintendo Wii U, obviously due to the little success that the console had had in the market. Since that date Nintendo has only been releasing updates for that version, in addition to a spin-off called Happy Home Designer. According to Nintendo's initial plans, in theory Animal Crossing will arrive on mobile platforms in the form of a spin-off, as has happened so far with Fire Emblem and the mythical Mario Bros.

Before the announcement of this event, the only news we had about the launch of this version for iOS and Android, we found it in The Wall Street Journal, who last May published an article in which it stated that Animal Crossing for mobile platforms would make its appearance before the end of the year, after many months of delay. When Animal Crossing for mobile devices hits the market, only the version of The Legend of Zelda will be missing, which will be the fifth collaboration with the development studio DeNA, with whom Nintendo has partnered to launch its most classic games for mobile platforms.
