The jailbreak world is in constant motion and much more now with the launch of several jailbreaks for both iOS and tvOS. One of the latest tools is LiberTV, to jailbreak Apple TV 4 and 4K that are on tvOS versions 11 or 11.1. We are waiting for version 10.x of this operating system to enter the compatibility of the tool.
Today it has been officially launched nitoTV, a package installer for Apple TV, with which you can complement the tvOS jailbreak. This installer is the Cydia from tvOS, with which we can customize the Apple device easily and quickly.

The creator of the tool nitoTV is Kevin Bradley, also known by the name of nitoTV. It's about a package manager with which we can customize the Apple TV which we have previously jailbroken. It is important to emphasize that it is necessary that the version of tvOS that we have be compatible with any current jailbreak:
- Pangu (tvOS 9)
- LiberTV (tvOS 10.x)
- greeng0blin (tvOS 10.2.2)
So currently nitoTV is compatible with tvOS 9.x-10.2 and 10.2.2, the developer ensures that the tool will be compatible with tvOS 11 shortly with an update. The operation is very simple, first the installer detects if there is any Apple TV compatible with jailbreak installed, and then it begins the process of choosing the package that we want to install to proceed, then, to its installation. nitoTV has a repository that will be updated as packages develop.
The Apple TV jailbreak was not very useful to date since there was no package manager with which to easily install and uninstall programs to customize the device, as can be done with Cydia on iOS. Now, with nitoTV the tvOS jailbreak is starting to make sense.
