The lock screen is one of the places where Apple has the most room for improvement. We currently have a four-inch screen that is only capable of displaying the time, date and a handful of notifications. In Cydia there are many tweaks that allow you to customize the lock screen to the maximum, adding all kinds of extra functions. The concepts created by designers also provide a good base of ideas for tweak developers and for Apple itself.
The tweak that you can see in the video that heads the post is called Peekly and offers a lockscreen made up of two different pages.
On the first page we can see the date and time, being able to choose between three watch models to change your design to the one we like the most. Swiping to the right, a calendar will appear that shows us the current month and the next two to square our appointments. The calendar can be replaced by our Twitter, Google Calendar or RSS.
On the second page of this concept appears the current weather forecast and if we slide slightly to the left, a forecast for the next four days is exposed.
The first version of Peekly is now available as a public beta. The installation is manual and for this you have to carry out the following instructions:
- Download the following file (link)
- Copy the file 'peekly.theme' in the path of '/ Library / Themes /' of the iPhone.
- Activate Peekly from Winterboard and that's it.
Its developer wants to make sure that the tweak works well on different devices and does not have serious bugs. When the checks are finished, Peekly will come to Cydia through a repository that we will announce when we know which one they are going to use.

But do we need Winterboard? And you have not said ad nauseam that we do not install it because of battery and resources? I don't know
Yes, Winterboard is needed. The battery and resources depends on taste. There are those who prefer to sacrifice autonomy and resources at the cost of having the system more personalized.
Let everyone do what they want with their iPhone.
Hello Nacho. I have followed the steps that it says .. Download link. I download the link and open ifile and I get a zip viewer .. Without archiving .. And I have not given it to any .. Do I have to give it one of those two? Why then I activate it with winterboard and it doesn't appear to me .. I don't know if I do something wrong.
Have you unzipped the Zip file so that the file peekly.theme is visible?
Ah! Well no .. I open it with the zip viewer? And do I rake everything .. Or do I just rake peekly.theme?
That's it .. But it doesn't come out in Spanish .. Can I change it in some way and set my zone? Thank you very much for your help..
It will be necessary to make changes at the code level, surely many of them will be simple when having to change the word in English for its equivalent in Spanish.
Regarding the weather, it will be necessary to see what service it uses to extract the weather data and locate the identifier of our city.
If any user is encouraged, let them know and we will publish it for the community. Greetings!
It usually has a file with code and you have to modify the data next to "var locate"
Say that if partner these people do not find out they are constantly contradicting
It would be nice if someone with sufficient knowledge modifies the code to have it in Spanish. G
I have modified it for Madrid and in Spanish except for the part of the time
How did you do it? From ifile / peekly.theme /…
Setting.js text viewer. Edit. var locale change what is in quotes for the code of your country for example Madrid Spain is SPXX0050
Where did you get the codes? I need the one for Santiago de Chile ...
I couldn't download it, if you send it to me I'll edit it and I'll pass it on to you.
I'm from chile.

Setting.js text viewer. Edit. var locale change what is in quotes for the code of your country for example Madrid Spain is SPXX0050
exactly as they have told you also entering the js folder and editing the files inside changing the months and days to Spanish

I have managed to modify the code but only to the point of changing the time.
If someone can upload the modified theme, it is appreciated

is there any way to remove the default clock from iOS? I get above the topic
Yes, you can hide it with 'Clock Hide', in cydia it is: 'Lockscreen Clock Hide' and from the settings you can activate and deactivate it whenever you want.
Thank you very much, I looked for it and I thought it was only available until iOS 5, but it does work!
with springtomize you can also.
Hi folks I can't download the file it gives me an error. Any other way to download it? Thanks and regards.
Apart from putting everything that could be put in Spanish and achieved in the calendar part, put the diminutives of the days of the week also in Spanish in addition to putting Monday as the first day of the week that previously started on Sunday, too. I added some more colorful wallpapers, only the weather predictions would be missing and I tried everything and there is no way, if any carack can help with this, I leave you the link with my modification
