Philips Hue launches the first smart bulbs with Bluetooth, no need for the bridge

You already know that the entire range of smart bulbs Philips Hue were based on the Zigbee home automation network for communication between the bulbs and the different drivers on the market. Philips Hue now comes with Bluetooth so that we can control them in a simpler way and we do not need a bridge (or bridge) with Zigbee to connect them.
Philips Hue Bluetooth products start with the traditional A19 bulb and the BR30 recessed bulb, available in the United States starting today. The products come in three versions: White ($ 14.99), great for a soft dimming; White Ambiance ($ 24.99), which allows you to customize your shade of white light; and White and Color Ambiance ($ 49.99), which offers access to millions of colors and shades of white light. They will be launched mMore Bluetooth products later this year and in 2020.
We can control up to 10 different bulbs with the new Philips Hue Bluetooth app on iOS or via voice control with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Yes indeed, if we want to control them with the Apple HomeKit (and Siri), we will have to use the Hue Bridge, and the same if we want to control them remotely, or use them with third-party apps. New home automation options, which although not perfect, undoubtedly represent a great advance for the future of smart devices for our home.
